A Canadian author and artist, Hunter Nielsen had been inspired by Japanese media since he could speak. With inspiration from famous titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Katsuhiro Otomo's AKIRA, Japan music classics such as Mariya Takeuchi, Anri, Tatsuro Yamashita and Casiopea, the story of Acid Rain, or Adam Ena Must DIE!! can be traced back to the desire of lost time experienced by many people who were born before the internet was widespread. A lost age of advancement and progression given way to the current modern era of unrest and uncertainty, the author crafted Acid Rain as a love letter to the good ol' days.
Currently residing in Saskatchewan, with history living all around Canada, Hunter has a passion for the outdoors, nature, city life and nightlife; keeping him company is his beloved cat, Eri, named after the character from the story. In downtime, the author enjoys video games on his Playstation 5 and PC, with preference for single player story games.
Acid Rain Comics was born out of a desire to craft something genuine unshackled by large corporations, unchained and unrestricted. There are no sponsors, no armchair executives forcing changes and no profit-driven goals. Acid Rain Comics exists in the now as producer of the Acid Rain comic and one day, video games, movies and TV shows based on Acid Rain to further explore the wide world of Acid Rain.
Acid Rain is the title of an event that shaped the history of the world of the comic book, and can be compared to World War II and the atomic bombs in terms of impact to the history. As such, Acid Rain became integral to the title of the story as a key point in history; as something to remember, and something to prevent from happening ever again. Acid Rain Comics was named after the story, but one day, comics unrelated to Acid Rain may be produced.
